 CARES Program (Quicktime, English, 7 Minutes)
Wish to get involved with the CARES program and receive a stipend? CARES is a financial reward program to encourage early childhood profesionals to increase their level of education. This video, filmed in January 2005, explains how an early childhood professional working in Santa Clara county can get started in the CARES program. A Spanish version, English with Spanish subtitles, is also available by contacting us.
Literacy Initiative (Quicktime, English, 5 Minutes)
E3 Institute, together with FIRST 5 Santa Clara, and Community Foundation Silicon Valley, hosted Santa Clara County's first early literacy conference in Spring 2005. The vision for this historic event came from the recognition of the importance of linking early education and literacy skill development.
This video provides a glimpse of the parents, early educators,featured speakers, workshop leaders, and resource fair exhibitors, all of whom came together for a remarkable 2-day event. Visit the conference archive.
Preschool For All (Quicktime, English, 9 Minutes)
E3 Institute, together with FIRST 5 Santa Clara are partners in Santa Clara County’s Preschool for All (PFA) initiative. PFA represents a commitment to bringing quality early education services to children aged 0-5. This video, filmed in San Jose, CA in June 2004, contains the press conference featuring Rob Reiner announcing the launch of PFA, and a panel discussion of key issues from some of our county’s most effective leaders.
